Floating in the Backseat While the World Goes By, the debut LP from Derek Deon, launches with an intimate release party at the upstairs lounge at The Ashland Armory - featuring a unique lineup of three original, Ashland-based performing acts:
Derek Deon & the Vaughns
The headlining set will be performed by Derek Deon & the Vaughns; fresh off of a west coast tour, and showcasing their recent delve into the polished and lush sounds of live-looped instrumentation and electronic samples, plus musical cameos from session musicians featured on the album, which will be performed live in it's entirety, in addition to new original material and tributes to their musical influences.

Impulse Control
The middle set will be performed by the power-pop rock trio, Impulse Control; a band that was once an integral part of Ashland's house-show scene, and has since been on semi-hiatus since frontman and songwriter Timothy Duryea moved to the Bay Area, making a live set from them in Ashland a rare and exciting occasion to observe.

Space Challenger
The opening set comes from Ashland-Based Hip-Hop act, Space Challenger: an original project fromKelvin Underwood, who can also be found playing drums for Slow Corpse, and Oh My Golly, a locally-sourced Pixies tribute band.
