Carl Verheyen brings his band of world-class musicians to the Great Hall at the Historic Ashland Armory on Thursday, July 23.
With Jeff Pevar and Inger Nova opening the evening with a special duet performance, along with original songs from their new album, and Carl and his band delivering their own sets, the night will culminate in a one-of-a-kind all-star jam session featuring everyone on stage together—a musical moment that will happen only once!
As the creative force behind the Carl Verheyen Band, he leads a virtuosic, genre-spanning live show — rock, blues, jazz, and beyond — that has drawn fans to theaters, clubs, and festival stages around the world. Backed by a band of exceptional players, this is a rare close-up night with one of the most respected guitarists alive.
Verheyen has recorded with Christina Aguilera, the Bee Gees, Cher, B.B. King, Dolly Parton, John Fogerty, and Stewart Copeland, and played on more than 150 film soundtracks — Star Trek, Gladiator, Ratatouille, The Usual Suspects, and Mission Impossible among them. He's been a member of British rock legends Supertramp since 1985 and one of LA's elite "first-call" session players for over 40 years.
In 2009 he was heard by 67 million people as a featured soloist at the Academy Awards.
